in some sort of twisted ignorant over-zealous mood, i agreed to: 1. have our work christmas party at my house, 2. the day after my family christmas party.
originally i was worried that the clean up party #1 and reset to party #2 would be the hard part. but what was actually hard, and never even entered my mind, was the motivation to make party #2, party #2.
i had no idea.
but apparently hosting parties is like giving birth. in that it takes everything out of you. and you have to wait a little bit to let your hostess cells repair.
but then C from work showed up. she was my co-host, and she was brimming - overflowing actually - with pre-party excitement. so she got me back on the wagon.
i want to tell you that our work party was sophisticated. refined. a party you would take your grandma to.
but...
when you work with all women, it really changed the office "culture." especially after you've worked with the same women for 8 years. when 6 women have worked together for 8 years, you can have work parties that no other office would dare have. for instance,
you can have sexy santas come to your party.
totally, right?
and since my dad doesn't read blogs, you didn't start reading blogs, did you, dad? i can show you a little sample.
but if you want more, you'll have to ask me for a private viewing. because last nite MY grandma asked me to help her learn to read blogs.
later we were wondering if these....sexy santas, and others of his ilk, KNOW that women actually think they're funny. that we call them "sexy" in jist.... i mean, are they in on the joke too?
OMG Girl...LOVE IT! You kill me. How are the Ribs? I think of you and pickles and Levi all the time. Your kids are the BOMB!
